Reiki is a non-invasive holistic therapy that started in Japan in the early 1900s by Dr Mikao Usui. It’s name is derived from the Japanese words “Rei” meaning divine or universal and “Ki” meaning life force energy.
Reiki therapy is said to help re-balance the whole person in mind, body and spirit, by transferring the universal life force energy through the trained practitioner to the patient. The patients’ body receives this energy and sets it to work to relax the body and ease tension along with accelerating the body’s natural ability to heal itself. So, Reiki therapy can be regarded as the movement of the “universal life energy force” by a trained Reiki practitioner, to achieve a natural energy balance for optimal health and well-being.
Typically, Reiki is practiced in person, where a trained practitioner would channel the universal life energy force through their hands to areas of the patients’ body without touching them. It is practised by the practitioner with an open heart and integrity to focus and channel Reiki energy to address a particular problem. As energy transcends distance, Reiki can just as effectively be channelled at a distance, without the need to be physically in the presence of an experienced practitioner.
Given current social distancing & health risk considerations, in order to maximise the benefits and minimise the stress and risks of close proximity of a typical Reiki session, I am currently offering Distance Reiki sessions to help people and animals achieve optimal health and overcome health issues (both physical and emotional).
As such, my Reiki treatment is a gentle, natural health treatment that is suitable for all, wherever you may be, whatever your problems, and it works exceptionally well for humans as well as animals.
