Reiki is a non-invasive holistic therapy that started in Japan in the early 1900s by Dr Mikao Usui. It’s name is derived from the Japanese words “Rei” meaning divine or universal and “Ki” meaning life force energy.
Reiki therapy is said to help re-balance the whole person in mind, body and spirit, by transferring the universal life force energy through the trained practitioner to the patient. The patients’ body receives this energy and sets it to work to relax the body and ease tension along with accelerating the body’s natural ability to heal itself. So, Reiki therapy can be regarded as the movement of the “universal life energy force” by a trained Reiki practitioner, to achieve a natural energy balance for optimal health and well-being.
Typically, Reiki is practiced in person, where a trained practitioner would channel the universal life energy force through their hands to areas of the patients’ body without touching them. It is practised by the practitioner with an open heart and integrity to focus and channel Reiki energy to address a particular problem. As energy transcends distance, Reiki can just as effectively be channelled at a distance, without the need to be physically in the presence of an experienced practitioner.
Given current social distancing & health risk considerations, in order to maximise the benefits and minimise the stress and risks of close proximity of a typical Reiki session, I am currently offering Distance Reiki sessions to help people and animals achieve optimal health and overcome health issues (both physical and emotional).
As such, my Reiki treatment is a gentle, natural health treatment that is suitable for all, wherever you may be, whatever your problems, and it works exceptionally well for humans as well as animals.
A typical Reiki treatment session consists of a half hour consultation where I discuss with my client why they are have come for Reiki, what are their expectations and what to expect then Reiki treatment. With Covid-19 considerations, I have decided to have contactless treatment and work with distance reiki instead of in person treatments. This minimises the risks of covid-19 for both the client and myself.
During a distance reiki treatment, I work in a similar way to when patients are on a couch next to me. My whole focus of attention is on my client and channelling Reiki energy to them. This takes the form of a “wireless” transmission, such that the energy is sent from myself directly to you via an open channel that I create (in the similar way that we’re able to make wireless telephone calls)!
As the patient, you’ll experience a feeling of warmth, tingling and deep relaxation.
As a practitioner, I do not work in a vacuum. Prior to a Distance Reiki treatment session, it’s important for me to talk with you about the treatment and arrange a time when you can sit or lie down in a quiet space and be open to receive the Life Force Energy that I send to you.
As energetic beings, we are receiving and giving energy every moment of the day. Sometimes, our energy is out of balance internally or with the world and others around us, and it is at these times that we feel stress, anxiety, depressed, ill and uncomfortable in ourselves. This imbalance can be regarded as ‘dis-ease’ on an energetic level and left alone can manifest into disease and/or physical or mental health problems.
Reiki aims to re-balance the whole person, mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually by balancing the energy that resides within and bringing the patient to a more relaxed state, more able to cope and heal him/herself.
Whatever your physical or emotional challenges, Reiki energy will help you find more peace, health and well-being to achieve optimal health.
